Restaurant Defies Laws of Brunch and Bans Avocados From Its Menu


London restaurant Firedog is vowing to end the avocado craze when and for all by implementing a strict no-avocado policy on its menu.

The purpose: The restaurant admits to possessing grown truly weary of the green fruit.

“Our mission is to reinvigorate the morning dining scene in London, which has accomplished avocado to death, and we’re frankly bored of seeing it on every breakfast and brunch menu,” George Notley, executive chef at Firedog, told The Independent.

Notley isn’t wrong—avocados have stolen the brunch spotlight for really a whilst. Avocados have been a dominant food trend considering that 2015, with even avocado roses gaining popularity in the past year.

Instead of relying on crowd-pleasing avocados for its menu, the Aegean-inspired restaurant in Fitzrovia will as an alternative serve brunch with other superfoods, such as fennel and pomegranate.
